A heartbreaking tragedy in Durango, Mexico has sparked outrage and an official investigation after a 14‑year‑old girl, reportedly Paloma Nicole Arellano Escobedo, died following cosmetic surgeries she allegedly underwent without her father’s knowledge.

The Incident & Allegations

  • Paloma was admitted to a clinic in Durango for breast augmentation and a butt lift, procedures reportedly approved by her mother and performed by her mother’s 45‑year‑old plastic surgeon partner, Victor “N.”

  • After surgery, Paloma fell into a coma and later died from complications including brain swelling and heart failure.

  • The father, Carlos Arellano, was initially told she died of COVID‑19 complications. But at the funeral, family members noticed surgical scars and noticed her breasts appeared enlarged. He asked the family to leave the viewing room, then confirmed the implants and scars himself before demanding an autopsy.
