Golden Krust and The American Friends of Jamaica Unite to Support Hurricane Melissa Relief Efforts

Written by Primenewsplus

NEW YORK — In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant Group has announced a major partnership with The American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) and several key organizations to deliver critical relief to families and communities impacted by the storm.

With more than 100 Golden Krust locations across the United States, the restaurant chain is launching a nationwide relief campaign to rally support and provide tangible aid to those affected.

Relief Efforts Underway

The initiative includes several major components:

  • Relief Fund for Jamaica — Golden Krust is leading a national fundraising drive to raise over $250,000, with proceeds supporting on-the-ground relief initiatives coordinated by AFJ and its partners. The company has kickstarted the effort with a $10,000 donation.

  • Donations at Checkout — Guests at participating Golden Krust locations can contribute $1, $3, or $5 at checkout, with 100% of proceeds going toward Hurricane Melissa relief efforts. The program will continue through the end of the year.

  • Boxes of Hope Program — Customers can drop off non-perishable food, hygiene items, and essential supplies at Golden Krust restaurants nationwide. These donations will be shipped directly to affected communities in Jamaica.
