Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 Back in Jamaica Following Accident

Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 Dr. Gabrielle Henry has returned to Jamaica to continue her recovery, one month after sustaining serious injuries during the Miss Universe 2025 preliminary competition in Thailand.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Henry confirmed that she is now home and expressed gratitude for the support she has received since the incident.

Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 Expresses Gratitude and Reflection

“In a time that calls for stillness and healing, I am grateful to be in Jamaica and to feel the familiar strength of Jamaica surrounding me,” Henry wrote.

She extended sincere thanks to her family and friends, as well as to Jamaicans who offered prayers and support throughout her recovery. She also acknowledged the medical teams in Thailand, those who escorted her home, airport staff at Norman Manley International Airport and Miami International Airport, and members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force who helped ease the journey.

Henry also thanked the Miss Universe Jamaica team and the Jamaica Tourist Board for assisting with arrangements surrounding her return.

“As Miss Jamaica Universe 2025 and an ophthalmology resident, I am reminded that moments of darkness do not diminish vision; they refine it,” she stated.

While continuing to recover, Henry said she remains inspired by the resilience of Jamaicans in the face of adversity. She noted that more details will be shared in time, but for now her focus remains on healing, purpose, and service.

During the evening gown segment of the Miss Universe 2025 preliminary competition in Thailand, Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 fell from the main stage and was carried out on a stretcher.

Subsequent updates from her family and pageant officials confirmed she sustained serious injuries, including an intracranial hemorrhage, loss of consciousness, a fracture, and facial lacerations.
