What Leaders Said

Minister of Culture, Olivia “Babsy” Grange, praised the JCDC and creative director Michael Holgate for delivering a show that was “bold, world-class, and unapologetically Jamaican.”

Prime Minister Andrew Holness reminded citizens:

“This is not just a party. This is a declaration—of who we are, where we’ve come from, and where we’re boldly going next.”

The Message Behind the Theme

Color Meaning
Black The strength and creativity of the people
Green The land and agricultural richness
Gold The sun and natural wealth

“Be Proud, Be Bold…” was more than a slogan—it was a call to action for Jamaicans at home and abroad to walk confidently in their cultural identity.
