Warning: If You Bought These Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets at Walmart, Throw Them Out Now

Written by Primenewsplus

If you have kids and picked up a bag of dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets from Walmart recently, check your freezer immediately. The USDA has issued a public health alert after discovering that certain packages of Walmart’s Great Value brand dino nuggets may be contaminated with lead.

The affected nuggets were produced on February 10, 2026 and sold in 29-ounce bags — containing about 36 dino-shaped pieces — at Walmart stores across the country. Here’s how to identify the recalled bags: look for a “Best if Used By” date of February 10, 2027, lot code 0416DPO1215, and establishment number P44164 printed on the back of the packaging.

The good news is the bags have been pulled from store shelves. The concern is that many of them could still be sitting in people’s freezers at home — which is exactly why this alert matters.

Lead poisoning is no small risk. It is particularly dangerous for pregnant women, infants, and young children, where even small amounts of exposure can cause serious and lasting health damage.

If you have these nuggets at home, do not feed them to anyone. Throw them away immediately or return them to your nearest Walmart for a full refund.
