In a bold move that has sparked widespread attention, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) has announced his intention to introduce legislation that would feature Donald Trump on a newly proposed $250 bill.
Wilson took to social media to unveil his proposal, sharing a mock-up of the bill and expressing his support for Trump’s economic policies. “I’m excited to announce that I am drafting legislation to direct the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to design a $250 bill featuring Donald J. Trump,” he wrote.
This proposal, however, faces a significant legal hurdle, as current federal law prohibits depictions of living individuals on U.S. currency. Despite this, Wilson is determined to move forward, asserting that Trump’s contributions to financial leadership merit this recognition, particularly in contrast to the current administration’s economic challenges.
“Bidenflation has wreaked havoc on the economy, forcing American families to carry more cash. The most valuable bill for the most valuable President,” Wilson added in his post, highlighting his belief in Trump’s economic legacy
